Although the actual world of real estate has much to offer, sometimes it’s fun to daydream about what could be, including perhaps one of our favourite fictional characters hiring us to sell their homes.

Read on for a few fictional properties we think every property consultant would love to add to their portfolio, brought to you by leading real estate agency, Frank Salt Real Estate.

1. Thor’s Palace

Marvel fanatics would be more than familiar with the impressive Asgardian Palace, the otherworldly abode of the God of Thunder. With its hidden treasures, walls steeped in mythology and the natural beauty of lakes and greenery that surround it, this magnificent fortress would suit anyone looking for a lifestyle worthy of, well, the gods.

2. The Hogwarts Castle (Harry Potter Series)

From talking portraits and moving staircases to secret passages and enchanted ceilings, we’re guessing that the most famous fictional school of all time would fetch a pretty price. Prospective buyers would just need to be warned beforehand about the Forbidden Forest, the castle’s poltergeists and the alarming number of students or teachers who happened to meet a grisly end on-site…

3. Bag End

Of course, not every buyer is looking for something as grand as a castle or palace – others fancy something a little more humble and understated. Enter Bag End, home of everyone’s favourite hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. At a glance, this rustic hidey-hole doesn’t appear to be anything special; but behind the round, green door lies one of the cosiest underground homes on Middle Earth, with countless rooms all fitted with round windows and even an outside space in the form of a garden.

4. Madeleine McKenzie’s House

It’s impossible to watch the hit series Big Little Lies without getting some serious house envy. All the homes of the main cast are stunning in their own way, but we think that Madeleine’s beachfront property in particular stands out from the rest, with 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, an outdoor shower, a wine cellar and a guest house. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a private deck upstairs with an outdoor fireplace.

5. Tony Stark’s Mansion

In honour of the much-anticipated Avengers: Endgame released at the end of the month, we’re highlighting yet another Marvel superhero’s home among our list of major envy-inducing fictional properties. Tony Stark’s home is exactly where you’d expect a “genius billionaire playboy philanthropist” to live – a cliff-side mansion created in a minimalist style of glass and stone, overlooking an extraordinary view of the Pacific Ocean. Not too shabby.
