Homes of Quality, part of the Frank Salt Real Estate Group, reinforced its corporate social responsibility commitment this month by supporting YMCA Malta’s ‘Adopt a DAR’ initiative. The fundraising campaign, held in anticipation of YMCA’s 50th anniversary in 2026, focused on generating resources to help individuals experiencing homelessness in Malta.
‘Adopt a DAR’ is a programme designed to provide comprehensive support to those without stable housing. Beyond temporary shelter, it enables access to essential services including meals, counselling, skills training and long-term reintegration plans. The initiative reflects YMCA Malta’s mission to offer not only immediate relief but also a sustainable path toward stability and independence.
In line with its CSR strategy, Homes of Quality took an active role in raising awareness for the cause. The company actively engaged its network by sharing dedicated content across social media channels, engaging its extensive client database and amplifying the message through public relations activities. This multi-faceted approach ensured strong visibility and encouraged wider community participation beyond the real estate sector.
Commenting on the collaboration, Alex Papagiorcopulo, Branch Manager at Homes of Quality, said: “As part of the Frank Salt Real Estate Group we are fortunate to work with clients purchasing quality homes across Malta on a daily basis. This experience makes us acutely aware of the contrasting reality that some individuals face – struggling without even the most basic shelter. Supporting YMCA’s ‘Adopt a DAR’ initiative was therefore a natural decision, aligned with our values as an organisation. We are proud to have played a role in this important campaign and encourage others to support initiatives that promote dignity and social inclusion.”
Homes of Quality’s fundraising campaign concluded on Saturday with the presentation of a cheque for €1,371 to YMCA Malta. The company emphasised that its commitment to supporting community-focused initiatives will remain a central part of its operations, encouraging others to do the same as efforts to support vulnerable individuals locally continue. Initiatives like ‘Adopt a DAR’ are vital in providing safe shelter and social support, ensuring that everyone less fortunate has the opportunity to access rehabilitation, receive help with integration and ultimately rebuild their lives.
