Sliema A.S.C, Malta’s most successful Waterpolo club with an impressive 31 league championships to its name, has today announced Frank Salt Real Estate as the new club sponsor after the sponsorship arrangement with McDonalds comes to an end at the end of the winter league in a couple of weeks time.
Whilst thanking the outgoing sponsors for sponsoring the club for 9 consecutive years, Club President Michael Gatt said he was very happy to have reached a sponsorship agreement with Frank Salt Real Estate and he believes that the co-operation between one of Malta’s leading Real Estate companies and one of Malta’s top waterpolo teams that always attracts large crowds to the pool will be mutually beneficial to both parties. He commented that a team such as Sliema always aspires to win top honours, and this year will be no different, that is why the backing of a strong partner was crucial to fulfilling such aspirations.
On the other hand Grahame Salt said that sponsoring such a successful waterpolo team was something the Frank Salt Real Estate Group was proud of. “Sports activity is an extremely important element of any society. Waterpolo is one of the most followed sports in Malta and this is our way of endorsing the club and giving something back. We wish the team the best of luck and hope they shall win the honours this year!”
The deal will see the Frank Salt Real Estate logo displayed prominently on the teams kits as well as at the club premises, better known as Sliema Pitch in Ghar id-dud.
Apart from a new main sponsor, Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate will this year be fielding two new foreign players. Gergely Kiss and Samir Barac are both new to the local waterpolo scene but both have made their mark in the International and Olympic circuits winning an impressive amount of medals and four Olympic Gold medals between the two.
