The study was based on many factors such as levels of rainfall and levels of crime rate, healthcare, tax and property prices. Malta was followed by other countries like Portugal, Spain, Barbados, USA, Australia, Thailand, Jamaica, Morocco and Greece who also made it in the Top 10 retirement destinations.
“With over 3,100 hours of sunshine a year, an average year-round temperature of 18.9°C and English as a first language for most people, it’s no surprise Brits flock to the Mediterranean archipelago, making Malta our top, all-round retirement destination,” the site reads.
There is no doubt now that Malta is the best place to escape to overseas, away from economic distress and persistent rainfall.
