2014 has seen Frank Salt Real Estate actively waiving the Maltese flag in various countries, promoting the island’s allure for foreign nationals looking at taking up a property in Malta. This has included, amongst others the UK, Poland, Italy, France, Sweden and other European countries. With the advent of the new Malta Individual Investment Programme, along with Malta’s attractive residency programs and the islands property market potential in terms of investments, the company has decided to expand further and increase its presence in a number of more distant counties, including China, South Africa and Russia. It has also established representations in the UAE, India and the US.

Over the last few months, Malta and its property market have recorded a remarkable increase in interest from foreign nationals, and Frank Salt Real Estate is fully geared to assist foreign clients looking at purchasing or renting a property in Malta. When it comes to assisting a foreign national, our service goes beyond finding them a home to live in.” states Joseph Lupi, Managing Director. “Really and truly we offer a one-stop-shop service, of course assisting them with their property needs, but also offering guidance on other matters, be it school requirements for their kids, tax and legal consultancy, residency requirements and more, even basics such as how they can bring their car or pets to Malta. This is something that foreign nationals respect greatly, giving them the confidence to trust us with their needs, and also appreciate the friendly, yet professional disposition of the Maltese nation. We are also looking for more quality properties for sale or to let to satisfy the increased demand by the foreign market.

Frank Salt Real Estate’s overseas initiatives cover the full spectrum, from participation at international property exhibitions, to organising its own roadshows and seminars, as well as sponsorship of Malta-related events in conjunction with Malta’s Embassies and other local companies. More recently the company was also present at a number of exhibitions in Beijing and Shanghai. The company’s stand was also visited by Malta’s Ambassador to China Mr Borg-Marks and attracted hundreds of Chinese nationals who took the opportunity to learn more about Malta’s diversity and heritage, as well as its property market and business potential. “The Chinese market holds great potential for Malta” comments Douglas Salt, Director. “We have also held a presence in this market, but have now decided to give the market more attention and establish a stronger connection. The Chinese are very demanding, but they hold extensive wealth and are very active in the property investment market, as well as building ties within Europe.”
