Sannat is a small town Gozo, Malta, and has a population of about 2 1200 people. Sannat is well-known for its very high cliffs, cart ruts, temples, dolmens and variety of fauna and flora.

In 1951 the now Queen Elizabeth II visited the village. Sannat is sought-after by many foreigners looking to live the quiet life in a farmhouse, not too far away from Victoria. Sannat is also close to the very popular seaside village of Xlendi and Sannat has some rather famous international stars amongst its residents, with many others now looking for property and houses for sale in Sannat.

In the vicinity of Ta’ Cenc one will find L-Imramma: a prehistoric temple. Other interesting remains are three dolmens, a horizontal, roughly shaped, slab of limestone supported on three sides by blocks of stone standing on end.  The area of Ta’ Cenc is well-known for its panoramic cliffs, which is home to several species of unique flora and fauna. The adjacent Hanzira valley, a natural gorge separating Sannat from the village of Xewkija, leads down to Mgarr ix-Xini Bay, a pebbly beach popular with swimmers as it is with divers. Within Sannat’s boundaries one will also find the world-famous hideaway of many celebrities, the Ta’Cenc Hotel and Spa. Next to Mgarr ix-Xini Bay one will also find another popular diving and swimming spot, Il Kantra which is a few kilometres down the road from the hotel.

The local church is dedicated to St. Margaret the Martyr and dates back to 1755. The patron saint of Sannat is also St. Margaret and the festa is held on July 20th annually.
