Hey kids and teens! Are you excited to dive into the amazing culture and history of Malta through art?
We’re super excited to announce a special art competition just for you! We want you to create an artwork that showcases the beauty of Maltese heritage. You can get inspired by traditional Maltese architecture, historic landmarks, detailed lacework, or even the iconic Maltese balconies – all things that are truly local and special about Malta.
Let your imagination run wild and show us what you love about Malta’s colourful heritage!
The competition is open to all state, church, and independent schools and is divided into five categories:
Winner for each of the five categories, along with two runner-up prizes, will receive a cash prize. The top ten entries for each category will also receive a certificate of participation.
Submissions to the competition may be in any type of media, including drawings, paintings, cartoons, doodles, and sketches using pencils, crayons, acrylics, oils, watercolors, ink and mixed media. In the case of digital art entries, these must be accompanied by detailed hand-drawn sketches.
Each participant can submit up to three entries.
Entries to the competition will be judged by a panel of local artists. Certificates will be awarded to the top ten entries in each age category. One may submit their entry through the form below, or by dropping it off in a sealed envelope at any of our branches across Malta and Gozo.
All entries will also be uploaded on our social media platform, thus providing ease of access to all participants and the public at large to view the entries.
The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2024.
One may also hand over the physical copies at any of our branches, in a sealed envelope including name and surname of the participants, School, class and contact number of guargian/parent or teacher.
