Renting property in Malta is extremely simple. Foreigners coming to Malta, be it on a work appointment, to retire or to take up residency on the island, can rent a property with no restrictions.
Rental rates are extremely reasonable and vary depending on location, type of property, standard of furnishings and duration of tenancy. Rates for water, electricity, internet and TV are not normally included in the rental rate if it is a long-term agreement. These expenses are borne by the lessee on a consumption basis.

The deposit is refunded to the lessee upon the termination date of the lease, or is offset against any pending bills or damages to the inventory as agreed between the parties.
Our agency fees amount to 50% of the first month’s rent (plus 18% VAT). These fees are applicable for both the tenant and the landlord.
