How to make a bathroom look good for renting without busting your budget!

Nowadays bathrooms are expected to be sparse, minimalist, and functional in design. This counts in your favour as you can clear, clean up, remove and declutter this very important room to look its best and let it become one of the biggest assets of your rental property. No matter how big or small, we share our top tips on how to give your bathroom a makeover without breaking the bank.
If you have a wooden floor in good condition, it may just need a clean-up such as sanding and revarnishing. If you have a tiled floor, replace chipped or cracked tiles and here the secret is to not only replace the odd tile but also try and attain an overall patchwork that looks like this was your design intention from the start. Other options are cork and laminate tiles.
Faux Marble and Stone Coatings

Refinish instead of replace

Most bathrooms are small in scale and most of the space, including the walls, will be taken up by mirrors and other fittings. You therefore will need a relatively small amount of paint to refresh the room. Take your time and make sure the detailing around basins, taps, shelves, and the like are flawless.
If you have to replace the vanity, buy and upscale/repaint/refinish an old dresser first and then crown it with a stone or marble top, if it does not already have one. Have the holes to fit the hardware professionally cut and drilled.
