Hamrun is a town located on the crossroads of Gwardamanga, Msida, Floriana, Marsa, Qormi and Pieta. Hamrun is fairly young in Maltese terms and lacks the winding, close alleys of older villages and towns.
The town Hamrun is a cosmopolitan melting pot of nationalities such as Turkish, West African, Syrian Afghan and Italian. Here one can find the remnants of the former Malta Railways and even a station building which operated from 1883 to 1931! The town is well-known for its annual chocolate festival and for having the biggest concentration of schools in the whole country.
Hamrun property for sale is affordable and range from apartments and maisonettes to townhouses, garages and shops. The area is also legendary amongst bargain hunters as here you will find items for sale at premium prices in other areas to be a lot cheaper. Hamrun has a well-established commercial centre and is also within easy reach of Valletta.
Property for sale in Hamrun is mostly bought by locals and those working in the surrounding areas. The town is not a tourist destination but rather a thoroughfare to surrounding towns and villages but still very central and close to all the tourist hotspots.
