In response to Malta’s Blood Donation Unit calls for blood donation, Frank Salt Real Estate held a blood donation drive amongst its team in an attempt to generate more awareness and also encourage its members to contribute to this worthy cause.
A good number of Frank Salt Employees took on the challenge and donated their blood at the national blood bank in Pieta, where they were seen to by the team of outstanding medical professionals that man the centre, making the process of blood donation for the donors, many of whom were first time donors, a gratifying experience.
“I’d like to thank each person who donated their blood. Without blood donors, many patients simply would not be alive today. Empowering employees to do good for the community and supporting employee charitable initiatives is one of our core beliefs at Frank Salt Real Estate and hope that this drive has raised awareness amongst our team on how important blood donation is. This drive comes in a long list of employee volunteering programmes that Frank Salt Real Estate holds on a regular basis,” said Douglas Salt, Company Director.
“I have always loved to help people and when I started donating blood and knowing that by donating blood I could help others, I figured this was a good way to contribute to my community and to others around Malta.” Commented Ludwig Farrugia, Senior Property Letting Consultant who donated blood on the day. Alessandra Farrugia PA to the Property Letting Manager added “If something so simple can save a life, then it is the least we can do.”
